Dyana is a mom of two boys from Nutley, NJ. She has been studying dance, in all forms, since she was three years old and has a very solid background in ballet. At the age of 14, Dyana was given her first jazz class to teach. Ever since then, she has felt extremely blessed to be able to combine her two passions; dance and teaching. She has taught students from the age of two through young adults. Dyana studied dance for one semester at Long Island University, then moved on to get her degree in elementary education from Montclair State University. While in college, Dyana took dance classes in New York and New Jersey and also completed several dance teacher continuing education programs. She has been teaching dance in Wayne for the last 15 years. Dyana has had the privilege of performing with Immersion Dance Company for a brief time, performing in New York and Philadelphia. She also performed last summer, with Freespace Dance Company in Montclair, under the direction of Donna Scro. Dyana approaches all levels of her teaching with compassion and she has the patience to teach beginner levels and the knowledge and discipline to teach the more advanced dancers. Dance has been such a big part of Dyana's whole life and she could never imagine a day without it. Dyana hopes that her students can feel her passion and that each and every student she meets is affected, in some way, by her love of teaching. If everyone leaves her class learning something new then that is a great class. This past May Dyana became a 200 hour certified yoga instructor and is teaching classes in several yoga studios in the area.
